Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been since I'd posted on here.  I guess I just use Facebook all the time. 

Things have been going really well for us since the move.  Sean's settled into his new job at Target.  He really likes it there.  I've also settled into my "new job" of full-time, stay-at-home mom.  I actually really love being at home.  I get my housework done (most of the time!), and I'm able to cook supper pretty much every night.  Aydian and I always have fun, even when he's being a little grouch!

Speaking of my little man, he'll be turning 2 on Monday.  I really can't believe he's that old already.  Seems like yesterday we were bringing this little 10-pound, 3-month old baby home from Riley.  Now, he's a crazy little 2-year old, running around the house like a maniac!  Right now, he's obsessed with the movie "Cars".  In fact, his birthday party is going to be "Cars" themed.  We sent out "Cars" invitations, and the plates, cups, napkins, and tablecloth are all from "Cars".  I even wrapped his present in "Cars" wrapping paper.  My mom is making his cake, and it will feature Mater (his favorite character!). 

I don't remember if I'd posted this before, but we're attending the New Paris Church of the Brethren.  It's literally about a block from our house, so when the weather's decent, we just walk to church.  It's wonderful!  I'm related to a better portion of the church, so that's been fun.  Sean helps with Awana (he leads singing), we're both part of the worship team (they lead worship on 2nd and 4th Sundays), and we're teaching our Sunday school class right now (we're reading "For Men Only" and "For Women Only").  Oh yeah, Sean's also leading hymns this week, and he's preaching on the last Sunday of the year!  Whew!  I guess we're busier than I thought.

Good afternoon everyone!

Just wanted to drop a quick note here.  Today was Aydian's adoption!  Everything went perfectly.  We were only in the court room for about 10-15 minutes.  Afterwards, the judge commended us for all that we've done with Aydian and our willingness to take him as our own.  It was really awesome!  We are just so thankful that everything is finally done and he's ours, forever!  It's been a long road, and we are truly thankful to everyone for their prayers and support through all of this.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to post a quick update to let everyone know how things were going with Aydian.  We finally got a call from our attorney today.  Apparently, someone had to cancel their court date, and we got it.  So, we will be going to court on Wednesday, August 27th, at 8:30 a.m.  This will be the final hearing...Aydian will officially, legally, and forever be ours after that!!!!!  I'm so excited, I could burst!!!!!

Ok, I'm going to go try to calm down now.  Thank you all so much for your prayers and support through all of this.  It hasn't been easy, but it's sooooo worth it!!!!!
